Season 1 Episode 7: The LonelyThe Lonely
Sentenced to forty-fours years of solitary confinement on a desolate asteroid 9 million miles from Earth, James Corry (Jack Warden) struggles to maintain his sanity in total isolation. His only contact with humanity comes from Allenby (John Dehner), a compassionate supply ship captain who delivers routine provisions and news from home.
On one of his visits, Allenby leaves behind a container marked "gift." Inside, Corry discovers Alicia (Jean Marsh), a realistic female android built with human emotions, memories, and speech. Initially repulsed by the idea of finding companionship in a machine, Corry's deep-seated loneliness eventually gives way to genuine affection and love for Alicia.
However, when Allenby returns with news of a full pardon, Corry faces an agonizing choice: the rescue ship is heavily overloaded, and sacrifices must be made to secure his return home.
